I’ve wasted so much time stuck in the ‘researching’ stage, not realising that was just another form of procrastination masquerading as perfectionism.

Bronte: “When I first started my journey with Siren, I knew that I needed to find ways to connect with my ideal audience and would take any opportunity I could find.

I was running pop-ups at friends’ music events, using my weekends to attend market stalls, and lending my jewellery out to stylists for photoshoots and runways, all while juggling a 9-5. I quickly fell into a cycle of overworking myself in order to keep the promises I made.

In the process I started to neglect a lot of other aspects of my life, and it really started to affect me and my relationships. This is a challenge I think a lot of creatives who are self-taught run into when they try to start their own business, but finding that work-life balance might be the single most important challenge to overcome.”

Whatever it is, just start making the stuff you want to have yourself. If you’re a perfectionist like me, try to get focused on quantity over quality.
